Overview

If you have a business degree and wish to pursue a more senior role in management or you are a graduate and wish to go onto study for a Master's in Management or an MBA, then this programme is for you.

This innovative programme has been tailored for graduates who want to cover a wide range of business practice and research-orientated study opportunities.  The programme has been developed to meet current and future employer demands.  By taking the PgD in Business Management you will ensure that you stay a step ahead of the competition.

• Conduct and manage international business operations

Appraise the dimensions of operating overseas and the impacts it has, from creating global marketing plans to strategic operations management.

• Get competitive and become more attractive to employers

Enhance your presentation skills to present reasoned arguments for assessing business related problems and create practical recommendations to use in the workplace.

• Develop business models

Learn how to apply your numeracy and quantitative skills to create comprehensive business models.

• Prepare yourself for Master's success

Develop your academic skills for further study at Master's degree by creating a research project to the standard of a postgraduate researcher.

On entry a student will have:
•An honours degree from a UK university (minimum 2:2) in any subject, or equivalent award from a non-UK university,   OR
•Three years' work experience at managerial level with significant responsibility for resources (staff, financial, physical etc, or a combination of these). Prospective students must be able to demonstrate that these responsibilities were significant and that they had a high level of autonomy. A decision on entry to the programme via a work experience route will be made by NCC Education.
Applicants whose first language is not English will need an IELTS score of 6.5 or equivalent, as outlined in the NCC Education English Language Requirements for Postgraduate Entry document.

Academic Progression

The qualification is designed to allow entry to and/or enhace progression in a wide range of management roles in the public, private or charitable sectors.
NCC Education currently has articulations in place for entry onto MBA level programmes with the University of Warwick.

Student who successfully graduate with PgD Business Management can progress to MBA top up with the University of Glamorgan.
